Perhaps it’s the relatable lyrics about a stereotypical relationship and its arguments, or the Northern twang in Arctic Monkey’s front man, Alex Turner’s, voice that give the song a bit of extra charm. Maybe even the upbeat, cheerful guitar riff . Either way, this song definitely belongs on my list of top 10 tracks.
Someone who will be appearing a lot on this list is Taylor Swift. Not only is she one of my biggest role models, but the gradual build up in this song from the soothing piano and gentle vocals at the beginning to the pounding drums and heart-wrenching line ‘you call me up again just to break me like a promise’ makes me believe that this song is one of Swift’s best songs to date.
My first of my top ten tracks has to be this trio of girls from California. Maybe it’s down to their family’s musical background, but these girl’s voices seem to blend together perfectly. Plus the guitar solo at the end is fantastic!
Taylor Swift is definitely one of my favourite music artists and role models. Luckily, on February 10th 2014 I got the chance to see her live for the second time in London. What made it even better was that I got to go with my sister Sophia and best friend Emily, and I can’t wait for the next time we all get to see her live again!
(And also to me. We’re twins)
